Units
There are two units at the head office of the German Science and Humanities Council (Wissenschaftsrat, WR). Both, the Communications and Public Relations unit and the Knowledge Management unit, provide advice and support based on their expert knowledge.
Communications and Public Relations
The “Communications and Public Relations” unit is the interface of the German Science and Humanities Council (Wissenschaftsrat, WR) to the outside world and brings the body and its members into public awareness as opinion leaders.

Knowledge and Information Management
The Knowledge Management unit supports the head office in making the knowledge needed for its work available at the right time and in the right place. To this end, various instruments and measures are developed and existing processes for dealing with knowledge and information (generation, preservation, distribution, application) are regularly scrutinised and expanded, also at the interface between the head office and the WR.
