The German Science and Humanities Council (Wissenschaftsrat, WR) supports the call by the Israeli Academy of Sciences and Humanities (IASH), the Council for Higher Education (CHE) and the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) to universities and scientific institutions worldwide to work for justice, equality and peace.
We affirm all the appeals contained in the letter, including the release of the hostages and the protection of the civilians. Together with the Alliance of Science Organisations in Germany, WR last commented on the conflict on 12 October.
