Excellence Initiative
The Excellence Initiative programme was launched on the 18 July 2005 and ended on 31 October 2017. The Excellence Initiative intended to strengthen Germany as a location of excellent research, to enhance its international competitiveness, and to increase the visibility of its top-level universities and research areas.
