Wolfgang Wick re-elected as Chairman
Wolfgang Wick (right), a neuro-oncologist at Heidelberg University Hospital, was confirmed as Chairman of the Science Council at the WR winter meetings 2025 in Berlin. Wick has been a member of the Council since 2021 and Chairman of the WR-Medical Committee since 2022. Wolfgang Wick has been Chairman of the Science Council since 1 February 2023.
Also Julia Arlinghaus, member of the Scientific Commission since 2021 and Chair of the WR Evaluation Committee since 2022, was re-elected as Chair of the Scientific Commission.
Ferdi Schüth (left), Professor of Inorganic Chemistry and Director of the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research, Mülheim/Ruhr, remains Deputy Chairman. He has been a member of the Scientific Commission since 2022.
Christian Facchi (2nd from left), Research Professor for Embedded and Networked Systems at Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences, remains the representative of the Universities of Applied Sciences.
