The processing of personal data is directly related to the performance of the legally defined tasks.
On the basis of Article 6, Paragraph 1 lit. c) of the German Data Protection Act (DSGVO), we use your personal data to comply with the legal obligation to which we are subject.
We use your personal data on the basis of Article 6, Paragraph 1 b) and f) of the DSGVO to ensure technical functionality, security and usability. In addition, we carry out a statistical evaluation of the utilisation of our information offer.
On the basis of Article 6, Paragraph 1 lit. a) and f) of the DSGVO, we use your personal data for sending recommendations and position statements of the WR as well as press releases and background information on these.
On the basis of Article 6, Paragraph 1 lit. a) and f) of the DSGVO, we use your personal data to send invitations to events.
On the basis of Article 6, Paragraph 1 lit. b) of the DSGVO, we use the data you send us for application purposes to check your professional suitability for the advertised position. This information is used exclusively for the application process. If an employment contract is concluded, this data will become part of your personnel file. Otherwise, the data you send us will be deleted no later than six months after the position has been filled. With your consent, you can allow us to use your data for subsequent job advertisements.
On the basis of Article 6, Paragraph 1 lit. c) of the DSGVO, we use your personal data in order to be able to fulfil contracts and to carry out pre-contractual measures.
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us as the site operator, our website uses SSL or TLS encryption. This means that data you transmit via this website cannot be read by third parties. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” address line of your browser and the lock symbol in the browser line.

This website uses the open source software Matomo for the statistical analysis of visitor access. Matomo uses so-called “cookies”, which are stored on your computer and which enable us to analyse the utilisation of the website. The information generated by the cookie is stored on the server of the WR in Germany. Your IP address is anonymised immediately after processing and before it is stored. The data collected by Matomo is not, and never will be, transferred to other servers or passed on to third parties.
Here, you can decide, whether it is allowed that a specific web analytic cookie can be stored in your browser, which enables the owner of the website to analyze different statistical data. Your personal data will only be disclosed on the basis of legal requirements (public bodies or supervisory authorities), on the basis of your consent or in order to fulfil contractual obligations (public bodies, cooperation partners, e.g. in the context of organising meetings and events, external service providers such as IT service providers, banks for handling financial matters). We have concluded order processing contracts with external service providers to ensure that they comply with data protection standards.
Your personal data will be stored in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose and then deleted or destroyed.
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to free information (Art. 15 DSGVO) about your stored personal data, the origin of the data, their recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction (Art. 16 DSGVO), blocking (Art. 18 DSGVO) or deletion (Art. 17 DSGVO) of this data. You have the right to have data which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract passed on to you or to third parties (Art. 20 DSGVO). The data will be provided in a machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another data controller, this will only be done to the extent that this is technically feasible.
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in a specific situation (Art. 21 DSGVO).
